Keep on Ranking

Well, we are back for another year, and my enthusiasm for this column is at an all time low. But, it’s just the right time to refill my passion bucket.

A few quick notes before a speed ranking round:

  • For a league pretty set against the Superflex, we have a lot of QB keepers, which doesn’t seem to line up…
  • I would like to thank you all for your graciousness in granting a 12 hour keeper extension, I didn’t want to have to abandon the league
  • Please be on alert for this site’s first major investigative piece concerning our commissioner always drafting in the top 3..

Anyways, here are the rankings:

#1. Tony Pollard (8th round) – No longer stuck behind Zeke, this is the pillar that a franchise turn around is built on.

#2. Garret Wilson (10th round) – Top 20 pick with a new hall of famer under center, but does Nick know that he plays for the Jet’s, not the Giants?

#3. Tyreek Hill (2nd round) – Shady Commish ends up with the #1 pick and with this savvy move basically gives himself 2 of of the first 6 selections. Trading the 24th pick for Hill is an absolute steal

#4-7. All the QB’s: Fields (14th round), Hurts (6th Round), Mahomes (5th round), Allen (4th Round) – There aren’t many QB’s worthy of early picks, and these all qualify, but not a lot of value being gained here.

#8. Christian Watson (14th round) – Watson is currently going 20th amont WR’s, and 46th overall. I guess it’s good to get a starter with a last round pick, but I expected a better keeper out of a team with “Re-Draft” in its name. I mean isn’t a keeper league kind of a Re-draft?

#9. Jaylen Waddle (5th round) – I really don’t have much to say here, will probably have 3 different QB’s this year, is often injured, and is currently going 12th among all WR’s.

#T10. Walker III (9th round) and Rachaad White (14th round) – These two RB’s are barely cracking top 50 taken, gotta think the goal of a keeper league is to have a premium keeper. Their franchises do have managers with proven savy and grit, so we’ll wait and see how these pan out.

#12. AJ Brown (3rd round) – Connor is maybe stealing 12 spots with this keeper? I didn’t look at his team at all, but he’s basically just making a draft pick here, there had to be a better option.
